Join us for the sixth WSAG meetup, once again hosted at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology! This time we have talks on how the incremental software development model ages in a world dominated by Scrum, and a hands-on technical session on teaching Stable Diffusion to generate images on your own computer or in the cloud. A third talk will be announced soon.

This is a great opportunity to meet fellow software architects, share knowledge, and continue building our local architecture community.

    The incremental model is older than it seems — its concept was already being used successfully, given the capabilities of the time, back in the 1960s. Although this approach to building software seems more than obvious to technical people, the model slowly began to give way to what we today broadly call the agile approach. In a world of sprints, has everyone forgotten that being iterative is not the same as a top-down model? Let's look at the history and at what currently reigns in projects, and then remind ourselves why it's still worth talking to the business about the incremental model and repeating that Scrum is not the same thing.

    Every day on social media you see images generated by AI. However, even the latest ones — e.g. in the Studio Ghibli style — differ significantly from reality. This raises the question: is it possible to generate yourself in a specific style? And if so, how much will it cost? I invite you to a technical session where I'll show how to teach Stable Diffusion to generate what you want, on your own computer or in the cloud.
